MISCO Survey Results

When you care passionately about any subject, after a while you begin to believe that most people agree with you, and it never enters your head that you may be an extremist crank in a minority of one.

With this in mind we decided that it would be a good idea to find out what the great Maltese public thought about Animal Rights, to get a meaningful answer, we needed the most independent and professional method possible.

The survey had to find out the truth (not what we wanted to hear) and be the result of taking the views of all sectors of Maltese society, in respect of age, gender, socio-economic, type of work/profession and residential locations.

To achieve this we appointed MISCO International to undertake a full opinion poll/research project to establish what the views of the Maltese population are on Animal Rights as we enter the year 2000. MISCO are the market leader in this type of research and as well as providing surveys for most of the leading commercial groups, they also work for the Government.

When the survey was complete we were called to meet MISCO to be presented with the results, this filled us with a degree of trepidation, what if we were minority extremists ? what if no one else cared ? what would we do then ? well as you can see from the summary of the results below, we need not have worried, the results are even more favourable than we could have hoped. There really is a silent majority out there who want things to improve, and this fills us with confidence. The results will also show the Politicians that Animal Lovers are a force to be listened to, and improvements in this area will be popular.
